About This Site

This site looks at the tension between living off-grid and living connected, without arguing for either position. Both approaches are treated as rational responses to the same underlying question: where trust feels safer, and where strain shows up over time.

The pages here are not instructions, recommendations, or guidance. They don’t explain how to go off-grid, how to optimize connection, or how to choose between them. They focus instead on the lived experience of balancing control, continuity, independence, and reliance.

Many people move back and forth between these states, or live somewhere in between. The pressures described here often appear quietly, without a single event or failure to point to. Nothing has to go wrong for the tension to be present.

This site exists to recognize those moments — when systems still work, choices still make sense, but comfort and trust no longer settle automatically. It does not resolve that tension or suggest what should come next.

The intent is simple: to name an experience that is often felt but rarely articulated, and to let it remain unresolved.
